Parents, It's time to watch porn with the kids...

Pornography...
One word...
So many opinions...
10 to 14 BILLION dollars a year...
The time has come for parents to take responsibility and stop pointing fingers at the smut makers. With the rapid growth of the digital porn industry, it may be time for that "birds and bees" conversation to be updated to something a little more hardcore. I think it's time parents start considering watching porn with their kids.
"IT'S HAPPENED! Andrew Onyango has FINALLY lost his mind for real..." Not even close. Stay with me on this train of thought. You might learn something interesting.
When I was a kid we (the young boys in the "hood") used to meet at a friend’s house to watch pornographic videos when his parents were at work. Before the age of fourteen I already knew that “Juggs” was a very popular porn genre. Back then, porn came in form of VHS tapes (yes, I am very AGED and unhappy about it).
The Hef hangin at the mansion with his flock. That's
one lucky bastard.
Then came the era of DVDs and internet. It did not take long for Hugh Hefner and his friends to pour into cyberspace. A friend of mine tells me that she read a statistic indicating that the youth (especially males) today between the ages of 11-21 spend at least two hours interacting with pornography online every day. That is an unconfirmed number but thinking about it, it sounds about right. The BRILLIANT effect this has on a child’s psyche is that they grow up idolizing bodies and “positions” so much that their sexual experiences are scared by the inability to live up to the porn set expectations.
Hokage Sama!.... Anime is pretty messed up too if you think about it....

In real life, women do not have “Double D’s” which defy gravity like superman to stay perfectly perky into their “MILF” years without the aid of a surgeon. In addition, men are not anatomically incorrect to be carrying things which only donkeys should be swinging in between their legs. I have asked my female friends and relatives about this and they tell me it is not a concern as much as men think it is. And THERE in lies the problem...
There is another false fantasy in this picture. If you can see it,
you KNOW there is a problem.
REALITY is not going to stop your teenage daughter from spending all day daydreaming about a boob job. After all, the boys WILL like her better, won't they? That's what society has taught them is "good". JUGGS! Your son will be the toast of the female community for being “hung”. What was that term I heard used in a TV show once? Oh yeah! "TRIPOD"...

Ever watch a James Bond movie and wonder at which point
HE decided he was going to bed the bond girl? Because we
ALL know it is usually up to HIM!
It is not just porn. Any James Bond fan can tell you that the sexual standards were being pre-set long before “The Hef” had a mansion. Television, movies and music were creating weird sexual illusions long before the internet. Way back when MTV meant "Music" Television. But today the reach of the media is much further than it has ever been. Almost every middle class to wealthy background child has access to adult material on their cell phones. Furthermore, what they can’t see, they make. Sex tapes and nude pictures have found a new avenue of transmission here in Kenya. Most of my female friends have raunchy pictures of themselves on their cell phones. It is mostly for personal consumption, but like all things digital usually do, they get out. I only know about it because for some reason my female friends think I am asexual. Don't ask, I have spent a decade trying to figure that one out...
Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, your "good" daughter who would
NEVER do such a thing... It's always someone else until it's you,
isn't it?

Your daughters are wearing what can only be described as “handkerchiefs with sleeves” and “going out”. Where they are going, they are secretive about but apparently “nothing is going to happen” and you are "overreacting". Sound familiar? But it is not your daughter’s fault she wants to hang her bust out for the world to see and judge. To her, THAT IS WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. If men do not react to you as a sex object as prescribed by the media then there is something very wrong with you as a woman, isn't there?
Empress Huddah and Vera Sidika... Yeah.... So.... Yeah....

The end result of letting the media take the wheel like this is that a lot of parents have great difficulty convincing their children that they are attractive. It does not matter how many times mom says things like, “you are beautiful on the inside”, when you want to look like Vera Sidika on the outside! Right? See Vera Sidika be "Bogi Benda" below...

Now, some things need to be said. Pornography is something that exists in the world and cannot be removed without the aid of some kind of "Old Testamentish" threat from the sky. Second, the media will continue to set a sexual standard for both men and women. But the silver lining is that parents AND individuals are responsible for what the sexual standard is AT HOME. And it’s not just about understanding the self.
The kids need to be safely exposed to "adult themes" so that they can start building tolerance and self assertion. Otherwise they jump into puberty already somewhat confused and the hormone surge just finishes them off.
This kid was born in an era where he can do this from the privacy of the computer in his bedroom.
So, as radical as it sounds, parents need to talk to their kids about porn AND expose them to it (or mild forms of it like any movie by National Lampoon) at some point (13-18 should do for comfort of BOTH parties). They are GOING TO find it and interact with it at some point. Especially in this digital age! Trust me, you will want to explain some things before the confusion sets in. Food for thought… Vera Sidika, Huddah Monroe, Pendo and all these other women Ghafla calls "socialites" are ACTUALLY famous in Kenya for being "sexy" AND have teen admirers. Think about this. Who is setting the standards of "sexy" in your society?
Clarifications:
  1. The U Guy video is NOT pornography. It is just testing the limits of social acceptance.... And winning.
  2. I have nothing against Vera, Huddah or Pendo, they are women trying to get paid.... RESPECT!
  3. I believe individuals (and parents) are responsible for the way they react to the world around them.
  4. I have no 4.... I just don't like odd numbers.
