Scholes to play on another season

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes will play on for another season, the Premier League club's manager Alex Ferguson said on Monday.

The 37-year-old former England international quit at the end of the 2010-11 campaign but came out of retirement in January and played a key role in helping United finish second in the Premier League behind Manchester City.

Despite playing only half the season, Scholes finished third in the vote for England's Footballer of the Year, behind Arsenal striker Robin van Persie and United teammate Wayne Rooney.

This past weekend, Jennifer Hudson and her fiance David Otunga visited Six Flags Great America in Chicago to relax and release after her brother-in-law William Balfour was convicted of killing her mother, brother and nephew in court. On Friday, William was found guilty on all counts of murder as well as home invasion, armed robbery and kidnapping and faces mandatory life in prison. Jennifer broke down as the verdict was read, however, she was able to get some smiles in the next day at the theme park. A family friend tells The Chicago Times:

Going to Great America was a great idea — a way for Jennifer, her sister and [fiancé] David [Otunga ] to blow off some steam and release the horrible tension they’ve been dealing with for so many months.

Dr Phil reaches out to morbidly obese 23-year-old who posted desperate plea for help on YouTube

A video plea by a morbidly-obese 22-year-old has earned him the help of television personality Dr Phil.
The man, named Robert Gibbs, who weighs between 600 and 700 lbs., attracted the attention of specialists since he made a YouTube video five days ago.
In the video, which has now been viewed nearly 900,000 times, the California native reveals his fear that he will die before his niece and nephew grow up.

Robert said,

'I'm making this video because I don't know what else to do.
'I've tried losing weight on my own, tried doing everything possible, been on diet, been hospitalised, always done what needed to be done, but then, I gained the weight back.
The 23-year-old lives with his mother, sister, and her two children in Livermore, California outside of Oakland.
His sister, Nichole Gibbs, said that she didn’t know her brother was making the video until reporters began calling to interview her.
‘I'm happy he's doing this and he's getting a lot of feedback on it,’ she told Mercury News.
‘It's going to help him, and I'm glad for that.’
In the 3-minute video, Mr Gibbs says that he has tried diets and hospital treatments to help him lose weight but nothing has worked.
‘'I'm just trying to get some help from somebody, a nutritionist, a personal trainer, Dr Phil, Biggest Loser, anything or anybody who knows.'
And that he did, as alumni of the show The Biggest Loser have also reached out and offered encouragement.
Mr Gibbs asked viewers to post the clip to improve his chances of finding an expert to help him.
He says: 'Please repost this video, get it to go viral, get it to be one of the most watched videos ever, eventually someone will see it and then maybe I can get some help.
'For anybody who is going to make fun of me, I really don't care. This is my last hope.
'I'm really scared that I'm not going to be able to watch my niece or my nephew grow up, and I'm not going to be able to have a family of my own.
'I'm asking for somebody's help. That's all I can really say, it's from the heart.'
Dr.Phil his on action helping Robert at the moment and we hope Gibbs dreams came true.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted courtside at a basketball game on Saturday night, putting on a public display affection (PDA) show.

The new loved-up couple could barely take their eyes off each other as they sat front row at the LA Lakers play against the Denver Nuggets. Kim, dressed up to the nines in a black leather skintight dress, which her boobs were almost spilling out of, giggled as Kanye whispered sweet nothings in her ear.

Although at one point Kim, who eventually let loose her initially tied up hair , looked a little bored and was caught yawning while Kanye wrapped his arm around her shoulder and locked hands.

The couple have been dating for several weeks, despite Kim still going through divorce proceedings with Kris Humphries.

Kim will reportedly be flying into London on Tuesday to join Kanye as he prepares for his Watch The Throne tour dates with Jay-Z.

Big Brother Stargame Update: Maneta survives eviction, Liberia and Sierra Leone up for eviction

The first eviction show on Big Brother Stargame witnessed some unexpected twists as all nominated housemates from last week’s random nomination in the Downvile House were evicted from Downvile.
Zimbabwe’s pair of Teclar and Maneta was first to be asked to leave the house. Their fellow Housemates did not seem too gutted about the news and proclaimed “There are now 26 of us, more food for us..more drinks”. Maneta simply made a dramatic beeline for the Eviction doors, telling Julio not to touch her, as he reached for a hug. She was quick to leave the house while her partner took her time to bid her farewells and to beat Big Brother’s countdown. Teclar told host, IK that she didn’t want to talk but when asked if she had a thing for Seydou she was quick to explain that she didn’t have any romantic feelings for Seydou or any other person in the house. She added that it was particulary tough for her to find out that she had been nominated for eviction only minutes after entering the house.
Just as Julio and the bubbly Hilda from Tanzania were getting ready to celebrate their survival, IK announce that they also had to leave the house. The announcement sparked speculations as housemates tried to figure out what was happening. Julio told IK, “This is crazy, don’t know what’s going on”. Hilda said she was in shock and pain when she found out she was up for eviction moments after entering the Big Brother House.
IK then received the envelope with the week’s result and told Maneta to head into the posh Upville House to now compete as an individual while her partner Teclar together with Julio and Hilda went back home.
Soon IK made a call into the Downville House to make another random nomination. Unfortunately, the debutant countries, Sierra Leone and Liberia came up for eviction. This means that the housemates up for eviction are Luke and Yadel from Liberia and Dalphin and Zainab from Sierra Leone. Africa must now vote for which housemate and not group they want to save.
