Movie Review:Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor’

Just like many other film's from perry ,this film is adapted from the play of the same name, with several changes.Tyler's film have always been a lesson to every community .

Temptation is a dark story with some genuine knotty twists and turns which attempt to leave the audience floored.

“Temptation” introduces childhood sweethearts Judith (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Brice (Lance Gross), married for several years and living in Washington, D.C., where Brice works as a pharmacist in a small family drugstore (run by Yiddishe Momme Renee Taylor, some of my lads mistake Yiddishe thinking its perry as we are used of him playing different characters in his films.

Judith, a counselor who recalls a tale of infidelity. In a flashback, we see her as the good girl who married her childhood sweetheart, but is tempted to stray with a charismatic businessman (Robbie Jones), whom she meets through her work at a dating agency.

Judith's co-workers are wonderful to watch, as played by Vanessa Williams and Kim Kardashian, who, underneath a Kabuki mask of thick make-up, successfully plays up a Marilyn Monroe wiggle and breathy squeak.

Harley, a wealthy Internet entrepreneur who wants to invest in Janice's business attempts to seduce Judith as they work late together. He asks Judith why the matchmaking surveys don't discuss sex and Judith states that she doesn't believe in premarital sex. Harley concludes Judith's sex life is boring and on a schedule, which leads Judith to question her sex life with Brice.

From there, “Temptation” takes a sharp right turn toward the smugly moralistic. Harley isn’t just a snake in Judith’s middle-class Eden. With his Internet billions, he promises to set her up in the private marriage counseling practice she’s always dreamed of, proves chivalrous (nearly pummeling a cyclist who accidentally runs into Judith in a park) where Brice is cowardly, takes her for rides in his Ferrari and Rolls, and eventually entreats her on to his private plane — a one-way ticket to the Mile High Club. But fret not: Like a subsequent bathroom tryst cloaked in enough steam for a three-alarm blaze.

Love of money is the root of all evil,Judith attempts to quit her job, but is fired by Janice instead. Brice surmises she is having an affair after seeing her with Harley and, after talking with Melinda, goes to a night club that Harley and Judith are at, only to find Judith intoxicated. He pleads her to come back, insisting he loves her and is willing to forgive her, but Judith refuses and chooses to stay with Harley.

After the naughty rich guy attained her prize that when Judith faced the heat, Harley stands revealed as a sadistic bully luring Judith into a decadent underworld of very bad behavior .

Judith saw the real character of the millionaire boy when she went  to the apartment she shared with Brice to retrieve a laptop and is surrounded by a prayer circle of her mother and members of the church. Sarah begs Judith to stay and grabs her in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. Harley knocks Sarah to the ground and snatches Judith away, forcing her to leave. Back at Harley's, Judith is furious over how her mother was treated and yells at him for it, and Harley ends up beating her.

Brice is having dinner with Melinda at her apartment and when bringing up the topic of dating again, she reveals that she has HIV and contracted it from her ex who is revealed to be Harley. Brice immediately drives to Harley's place and rescues Judith after finding her beaten in the bathroom. He beats Harley and is stopped by Melinda who rushes inside to calm things down. The two then leave Harley beaten on the floor.

The movie leaves us predictably knowing that Judith is also infected with HIV and the good boy Brice moves on and build a family...

Grading this movie i give it a B...
