Chips Mayai..Msosi Wa Taifa
Every country has its street food. In Tanzania, you can sit by the side of the road and eat a hot dish with plenty of protein, carbohydrates and vegetables
Chips Mayai is a Tanzanian street food that you eat either with your hands or with toothpicks. If you're prepared, you will bring a plastic fork. Chips Mayai can get messy. What is this dish? In Kiswhali, Mayai means egg and chips are what North American's call 'fries'. The finished dish is something like a French fry omelette.
To make the dish, the fries are made and kept warm. Then they are added to a heavy cast iron pan over a fire. Eggs are cracked into a bowl and mixed with tomatoes, green peppers and onions if the customer chooses and this is poured overtop the chips and the whole thing is fried into light golden pancake shape. If you don't want vegetables, then you can have a plain Chips Mayai. Some Chips Mayai can have runny egg in the middle. The chips can be crispy but most times they are soft potatoes. Popular condiments to sprinkle on top are tomato ketchup, salt, pepper or 'kachumbari', an onion and tomato salad. A popular drink to order with chips mayai is Fanta or pepsi.

kasi ndogo kuliko inavyohitajika.
Tanzania, rwanda, Burundi, ethiopia and Sudan kusini. Huduma hizo ingawa

LIVERPOOL WIN CARLING CUP........
Liverpool ended their six-year trophy drought on Sunday after winning
a penalty shoot-out to shatter Championship side Cardiff in the League
Cup final at Wembley.
The Merseysiders just about held their nerve in an error-strewn penalty decider, prevailing 3-2 after the two sides had finished locked at 2-2 after a thrilling period of extra time.
The Premier League club's victory was clinched when Cardiff substitute Anthony Gerrard – cousin of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard – shot wide with Cardiff's fifth and final spot-kick.
The Cardiff player's miss came after Liverpool had seen Steven Gerrard's opening spot-kick saved and Charlie Adam's second blazed over the bar.
But Cardiff misses from Kenny Miller, Rudy Gestede and finally Gerrard proved decisive for the brave Welsh club from the second tier of English football.
The win was Liverpool's first trophy since their FA Cup triumph in 2006, and the first since Kop legend Kenny Dalglish returned as manager last year.
Liverpool skipper Gerrard extended sympathy to his family member after the penalty heartache.
"It's always cruel when it goes to penalties. There has to be a loser. Cardiff were superb today," Gerrard said.
"One (of us) was going to be sad, one was going to be celebrating. It happens. I've got mixed emotions at the moment but I feel for Anthony and Cardiff."
Dalglish expressed relief after the win.
"It was a long way to win but the name is on the trophy," he said. "Cardiff were always going to be difficult. They were never going to lie down and were a great credit. It's not a nice way to win a cup but we'll take it.
"It's sad that the boy missed it and you always feel for the person that misses in that situation."

NELSON MANDELA ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL........
Former South African president is comfortable after receiving treatment to establish cause of abdominal problem, Nelson Mandela is comfortable in hospital after receving treatment for a "long-standing abdominal complaint", the government has said. The
Nobel peace laureate, 93, was "fine and fully conscious". "We wish him a speedy recovery and
assure him of the love and good wishes of all South Africans and people
throughout the world," Zuma said in a statement.
It is understood
Mandela was admitted to hospital to establish the cause of the problem
and that his stay did not involve surgery.
Mandela became South's
Africa first black president in 1994 after spending 27 years in prison for his
fight against racist apartheid rule, and was awarded a Nobel peace
prize for his work.
His public appearances have become
increasingly rare, and he was hospitalised last year for acute
respiratory infection. He spent several days at Johannesburg's Milpark
hospital and has since spent his time between Johannesburg and his
ancestral village of Qunu in South Africa's impoverished Eastern Cape.
Mandela occupies a central position in the psyche of South Africa

JAY Z ''DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED'' IN RIHANNA FOR GETTING CLOSE TO CHRIS BROWN AGAIN..........
Worries It Sends A Bad Message To Her Young Female Fans, When Rihanna made the decision to get close with Chris Brown again she probably knew there would be some backlash from the media, fans and her mentor Jay-Z. Turns out she was right in all three cases--especially Jay-Z's. The man responsible for signing Rihanna to Def Jam Records at the start of her career is "deeply disappointed" in her decision to let Brown back into her life. "Jay was absolutely disgusted by what Chris did to Rihanna. Jay doesn't understand how a man could ever lay hands on a woman; it just goes against who he is and about," a source told Radaronline. "Chris is absolutely dead to Jay, he wants nothing to do with him ever. Now that Rihanna is hooking up with Chris and recording songs with him, Jay is deeply disappointed in her actions. He can't fathom why Rihanna is doing the things she is doing. He understands the need for forgiveness, but he is adamant that Rihanna shouldn't forget what Chris did to her. Jay wonders what kind of message this is sending to Rihanna's young female fans. Rihanna knows how Jay feels about Chris, but she doesn't care, she is going to do what she wants."
Stevanovic underlines 'Juju' by Ghanan players during AFCON
The Serbian mentioned the use of 'black power' in his report to the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) chanced upon by GNA Sports on Wednesday.
The remark was contained in his conclusion of the report and highlights the behavior of the players on and off the pitch.
“After losing to Zambia, there arose so many accusations amongst the players during my meeting with them. I have learnt great lessons from African football and also about Ghanaian players' behaviour on and off the field.
“We all need to help in changing some players' mentality about using black power to destroy themselves and also make sure we install discipline and respect for each other,” the report indicated.
The observation by the Serbian coach confirms the growing reports of disunity and in-fighting amongst the players during the tournament, where they finished fourth.
It would be recalled that GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi at a press briefing last Wednesday fingered player-related issues as one of the contributing factors to the team's failure at the tournament, when they were tagged favourites.
“We observed that some of the players played to achieve personal fame, prominence and excellence to the detriment of the entire team.
“Some of the senior players complained that they were being disrespected by the junior players,” Nyantakyi noted.

TEVEZ APOLOGIES TO MAN CITY OVER CONDUCT.
"I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions over the last few months have caused offence," Tevez said in a club statement.
"My wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City FootballClub," added the 28-year-old, who has not played for City since refusing to warm up in September's Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich.
City manager Roberto Mancini, who after the events in Germany said Tevez was "finished" at the club, has previously suggested the striker could play again if he simply apologised.
With that apology now uttered, the question will be whether he will now get the chance to take part in the club's pursuit of a first league title since 1968.
He acknowledged last week he would have to be "brilliant" on the pitch to win over fans who burned shirts with his name on and having not played competitively for more than four months there are also question marks over his fitness.
City said the striker had begun a training programme "designed to return him to optimum fitness."
His prolonged and unauthorised absence prompted the club to fine him six weeks' wages after finding him guilty of gross misconduct for serious breaches of contract.
Tevez had lodged an appeal with the Premier League over the charge but has now withdrawn it, according to the club. The return to Manchester and the apology are the start of the major bridge-building Tevez needed to do before any possible appearance in a sky blue shirt.

Jail docu-drama Caesar Must Die wins Berlin award
The Italian docu-drama Caesar Must Die has won the Golden Bear prize at the Berlin Film Festival.
The film, directed by veteran brothers Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, follows a group of real-life convicts as they rehearse for a prison performance of Julius Caesar.
Critics said the fact that most of the cast were prisoners intensified the drama of Shakespeare's tragedy.
The film was among the favourites to win the prestigious award.
"We hope that when the film is released to the general public that cinemagoers will say to themselves or even those around them... that even a prisoner with a dreadful sentence, even a life sentence, is and remains a human being," Paolo Taviani, 80, said as he accepted the prize.
His brother Vittorio, 82, read out the names of the inmates who took part in the film.
