I never thought he would make me sad, never had a clue that one day i would shade tears ,he always made everyone laugh ,i would laugh to any thing he would say,his facial expression always left me chuckling .He was brave, its never easy to make people laugh to the ground..He always did ,not only me ,My Grandpa used to laugh at this mans jokes ,i remember watching his first recorded episodes on a black and white screen when i was a little boy..aaahhhh the JEFFERSON'S..Classic comedy show and the best probably. That's where i knew him from.
May your soul rest in peace my comedy legend Sherman Hemsley.
He never married and had no children.
Death
Hemsley died on July 24, 2012, at the age of 74 at his home in El Paso, Texas, apparently of natural causes.“Growing up, all I wanted to do was live in a high rise building with a doorman,” D-Nice said. “RIP Sherman Hemsley. Thanks for the inspiration.”
After “The Jeffersons,” Sherman Hemsley remain in demand as an actor.
He started as Deacon Ernest Frye in the hit series “Amen” and had roles in TV shows like “Family Guy,” “The Hughleys,” “Family Matters,” “Martin,” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
“It was an Honor to know and work with you,” MC Hammer tweeted.” Thanks for all the laughs :)”
